How is Blue Agate formed?

Blue agate, like most is close to their family members as its a chalcedony,  a close brother/sister to the quartz family of minerals. Agate is formed in volcanic rocks, lava or from filled veins or cracks in old volcanic rock.

Now, you might be wondering 'How does the 'blue' get into Agate?' Well, I bet you didn't expect it to be a chemical reaction with Iron (not to be confused with the electrical appliance to straighten creases out of clothes).
